You may have heard of the "Good Samaritan" who helped an injured person one day. Well, the Rockport-Fulton Good Samaritans help their neighbors every day. Good Samaritans is an organization established by volunteers, built by volunteers, and manned by volunteers.  It has no employees.  It exists to help citizens of Aransas County.  Volunteers include long-time residents, retirees, “Winter Texans”, local church members, and others.  Although from different backgrounds, all volunteers have a single goal:  to lend a hand to those in need. In 2009, our approximately 80 volunteers each worked many hours to keep our doors open every work day of the year.  We helped over 1700 low-income families, many of them several times.  We gave out food equal to more than 79,000 meals.   We provided help with clothing, utilities, shelter, medical services, and many other needs. In 2010, we expect to help more people who come to us with even greater needs.  Please lend us your hand by donating or volunteering today.
